Once a refund has been approved, you can choose between two options.
Why is the Stripe fee deducted?
Here is why a card refund may be slightly lower than the original amount paid.
Stripe processing fees
Stripe charges a processing fee for transactions made through its payment platform. When a payment is refunded, the original processing fee may not be returned to the merchant.
How this affects your refund
Because the original transaction cost remains payable, the corresponding Stripe processing fee is deducted when a refund is sent back to the original payment method.
Important notes
A few things to keep in mind when requesting a refund.
Approval required
Refunds are only processed after the refund request has been reviewed and approved.
Coupon refunds
Store coupon refunds are issued immediately once the refund has been approved.
Bank processing
Card refunds may take several business days to appear in your account.
Timing varies
The final timing depends on Stripe and your bank or card issuer.
Our recommendation
If you plan to order again, we strongly recommend choosing the store coupon option. You receive the full value of your original payment and can use it on a future BihFih order.
